ColdFusion [ Adobe / Macromedia ] |
Our development team started working with ColdFusion shortly after Allaire first introduced their CFMX tags to the Internet community in the 90's. ColdFusion offered Rapid Application Development (RAD) for interactive online services with simple HTML-like tags. ColdFusion was accepted by the Internet development community overnight. When Allaire was purchased by Macromedia true integration of Flash with ColdFusion became a reality. Since then we've continued to see dramatic changes and improvements in ColdFusion. Now that ColdFusion is part of the Adobe portfolio we expect even greater innovations in the future. |

Over the last decade the Internet has been an ever changing development platform, with new languages appearing, some changing to keep up new requirements and others falling by the wayside. However, we have kept abreast of technology over the years and we have continued to grow with ColdFusion and have adapted other technologies when appropriate to our customers needs. We have developed well over 20 ColdFusion based websites and online applications for our clients. We have also taken on and developed projects in ASP.NET and Flash. |

Here are a few examples of previously completed ColdFusion projects: |

KPMG Online Services : 2006 |
KPMG came back to us again when they were having problems with their ColdFusion server and were looking to re-build and add functionality to their Intranet based "personal classified" system. First, we addressed the server issues which were causing the server to crash on a regular basis. Then the personal classified ads which was developed using ColdFusion MX and Fusebox 4.1. The entire system inlcuding the database was restructured to allow users to edit their advertisements, upload and modify pictures, delete ads and have entries expire after a set time limit. User logging was added for security purposes and the system was configured to access the national staff database to make the login process faster and easier. The new personal classified system was built, tested and in production within 3 weeks. |

KPMG Private Equity : 2005 |
We were asked to take over the development a Business Intelligence prototype for KPMG Private Equity Division. Our intial work consisted of cleaning up an original product and add new features to get a protype working. However to implement the new specifications wehad no choice but to re-architect the database and the re-write the entire program. Due to lack of time we took advantage of the faster development techniques available using FuseBox methodology with ColdFusion MX 6.1 and we were able to provide the customer with their prototype for demonstration on-time and within budget. |

Montpelier Asset Management : 1998 - 2005 |
Our most recent project was to convert the front end of the Montpelier Asset Management (www.montpelier.com) web site from ColdFusion 5.0 to ColdFusion MX 7.0 with a FuseBox 4.1 framework. This required modifcations to the ColdFusion, CSS, Javascript and HTML code as well as the database. With the changes we have seen a dramatic improvement in site performance. The site is almost entirely managed through a back end content management system. This section of this site was converted to ColdFusion MX and FuseBox 3.0 2 years ago. This made the back easier to modify when new changes to the overall site structure were implemented. We have designed, developed and managed the Montpelier website since 1998. |

Tuckamor Trips : 1996 - 2004 |
One of our very first ColdFusion projects was to develop a multi-lingual front end with a corresponding content management back end for a Canadian Wilderness Tour company called Tuckamor Trips (www.tuckamor.ca). The site was originally developed with ColdFusion 3.0 and while we made hundreds of improvements and front end design changes over the years, the application has stood the test of time. Ten years on, Tuckamor Trips is still using the original database and code we developed for them over the 8 years that we managed their website. |
